COVID-19 Information – Masks & Restrictions Exemption Program

The Edmonton EXPO Centre has implemented the Restrictions Exemption Program for all event participants. In addition, masks and social distancing are still required in compliance with the Alberta Government guidelines.

As such, the following protocols are in place at the Edmonton EXPO Centre and shall apply to all event patrons and participants. Patrons/participants age 12+ will need to show a government issued ID and vaccine record with QR code. Forms of proof will be checked at entrance to the Edmonton EXPO Centre.

  • Proof of full vaccination (two doses) is required, with the second at least 14 days prior to the event,
    OR
  • Negative COVID-19 test that is Health Canada approved rapid antigen, rapid PCR or lab-based PCR tests completed within 72 hours,
    OR
  • Formal documentation of a medical exemption as defined on the Alberta government’s COVID-19 public health actions | Alberta.ca site.

Masks & Social Distancing
Masks and social distancing will continue to be required in compliance with Alberta Government guidelines. All participants ages 2+ must wear a mask. Please come prepared with your mask(s) of choice. We recommend bringing multiple masks for comfort throughout the day. Please visit https://www.alberta.ca/masks.aspx for types of acceptable masks. Face shields and neck gaiters are not acceptable types of masks under this mandate.
