We are thrilled to welcome some of society’s most unsung heroes as Canadian Search & Disaster Dogs Association (CASDDA) present and demonstrate the heroic work of their trained team of canines.

CASDDA is an organization that trains and deploys dogs and their volunteer handlers to search for individuals, alive or dead, lost in the wilderness or trapped in disaster areas. CASDDA Teams are also trained to search for individuals drowned in bodies of water. As an educational and charitable association, they provide these vital services free of charge to communities. Most recently some of their canine and handler teams were deployed to the Philippines to help with the recovery efforts after the country was damaged by typhoon.

The dedicated crew from CASDDA will be demonstrating their dogs’ faithfulness to saving lives at this year’s Pet Expo with the appearance of a mock disaster site. Observe their dogs in action and see the everyday pet transform into the uncommon hero!
