About

Contests, Clubs Charities & More – all at the Edmonton Pet Expo.

Please leave your pets at home. For everyone’s safety (including both humans and animals), we require that your pets stay at home.

Here at the Edmonton Pet Expo, we place a great amount of importance on the health and welfare of the animals on our Show Floor. Since its inception in 2000, the Edmonton Pet Expo has been an advocate for responsible pet ownership; this is why you will never see us allowing adoptions directly off of the show floor. We want to ensure that all of the animals on our show end up with the loving, long-term homes they deserve – those who can show dedication and patience to welcoming the animal into their family.

We very strongly believe that all animals should be treated with love, care, and respect. As a fellow animal lover, you can rest assured that each and every one of the animals on our Show Floor is in good health. At each annual Edmonton Pet Expo, we have several different animal experts (including veterinarians) conduct routine welfare checks on all of the animals present. We take these matters very seriously – we want all of the attendees at our show (both human and animal) to have a wonderful and safe experience!

Fun for Everyone

The Pet Expo is also all about FUN. With plenty of presentations, animal demonstrations, agility courses, and sporty dog teams, there is so much to see and do. We have all kinds of fluffy, feathery, and scaly friends for you to interact with as well. Is your pet dying for new toys, treats, and more? Explore the products and services available to owners and pets all in one convenient place. For everyone’s safety (animals included), please leave your own pets at home.

For Pet’s Sake

The Edmonton Pet Expo is an event TAIL-ored directly to pet lovers! Our mission is to promote responsible pet ownership and better the lives of animals, so you can expect to find tons of information, resources, and tips on how to be a responsible pet owner from industry experts. It’s also a great opportunity to give back to your community by supporting one of the local animal-focused charities, and learn more about the work that they do in our communities.

Sit, Stay

Come down to learn what kinds of animals would be right for you! Do you know what it takes to properly care for a blue-tongued skink, or how many hours of interaction a day a bird needs to stay happy and healthy? Would you be a master of training a dog, or is a cat better suited to your lifestyle? You can find the answers to all these questions (and more!) at the Edmonton Pet Expo.
